This week's issue of the Preview: (December 18, 2008)

Last week’s semifinal game between Richmond and Northern Iowa was one of the wackiest finishes ever to a playoff game. Richmond had just taken a 21-20 lead, and after the kickoff return, UNI had the ball in decent field position, with around 10 seconds to go and one time out. The announcers thought (as did many of us) that the Panthers would take a shot down field, and if the pass was complete, take a quick timeout and go for the winning field goal. Instead, they went for the old hook-and-ladder play, which morphed into a messy attempt at a Music City Miracle play. Either way, it went no where; Richmond won, and advanced to play Montana in the championship game...Full Story (.pdf format)
